The Junior Patrons of the Birmingham Museum of Art are hosting a Roman Holiday, inspired by the ongoing Pompeii exhibit currently on display downtown. The dressy casual affair will feature a silent auction where attendees can bid on olive jars designed by local artists as well as a few folks whose names you might know - Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston and Eva Longoria. Heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and music by The Lava Lamps round out the fun.
Cost: $20 in advance; $25 at the door. Tickets may be purchased on the museum’s website.
