Taking advantage of the recent heatwave that has captured the attention (and air conditioners) of Birmingham and the state of Alabama, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (BCRI) is joining forces with the Coca Cola Bottling Company to open the doors of the interantionally recognized (and newest Smithsonian affiliate) to the public free of charge this Saturday & Sunday (8.18 & 8.19).

Visitors to the facility will receive a free bottle of water as they enter. Check out BCRI’s website for more information.
