Birmingham relaxes water restrictions, joins Homewood, Vestavia Hills

The Magic City joined Homewood in relaxing the time restrictions placed on area residents during the region’s stage 3 drought. The News’ post details the Birmingham City Council’s approval of a modification of the ordinance. The revision also allowed some area car washes to resume operation.

Old Gray Lady hosts AAFL tryouts Thursday

Legion Field will host the second session of national tryouts for the upstart All American Football League (AAFL) on Thursday, July 26. According to their press release, more than 200 are expected to take part, including at least 36 former Alabama and Auburn graduates.

2007 Drought: Time changes, restrictions don’t

The Homewood City Council modified the time portion of their water restriction ordinance during this evening’s meeting according to reports from Fox6 News.

St. Vincent’s ad campaign revealed

If you really thought about it, you figured that the “What Do You Believe In” campaign had to be tied to a hospital. It was hard for someone not to think that someone would try to replicate Brookwood Medical Center’s Hello Life campaign from last year. We just didn’t think it would be so soon.
