Critiquing the City Stages shirts:
After looking at the designs, I've decided to do more than vote. I've decided to convince you how to vote. So here are my thoughts. Holly Cook (25). This design bothers me on two levels. One, Vulcan doesn't hold a flame and two, the dates are wrong. For me, getting the dates wrong is enough to kill it. Kelly Norton (33). I think it's a bit busy, but I like the incorporation of the skyline. Erin Wright (14). This one is cool. My only hesitation is the "groove" theme. City Stages is eclectic and I'm not sure that comes across here. But I absolutely love the incorporation of the City Stages logo. Sarah Capillary (14). I like this one but I always think "Birmingham" should be incorporated in the design and I usually prefer some sort of urban theme. Kelly Norton (17). Nice design but what does it have to do with City Stages? Or Birmingham? Or an event? And there's no date. Sarah Capillary (38). Again, nice design but I wish it had a music image on it. This could be for a festival of theatrical performances. Plus, again, I want the city name on the shirt and an urban feel. Joanna Holloway (11). This is probably my favorite, although it lacks the urban or skyline image I usually like. Not sure I would get this color, but maybe. And I wish the dates were on it, but it says 2007 so that's good. Josh Brown (55). Jimi Hendrix is cool, but what does he have to do with an event that features so many genres? The design is okay but a little expected. Josh Brown (53). This is a nice design. I'm not a huge fan of "Mountain High" being so prominent on the front.
Well, there you have it. I say vote for 11. Or, vote for 14 - because the City Stages earring is so cool. Thanks.
