Find it fresh on Finley

We here at The Terminal have our alarm clocks set for early this Saturday. We know it’s best to get to Pepper Place when the market opens at 7 a.m. to get the pick of the crops. And we’ll stick around for the music and cooking demonstration. The coffee’s hot and we always run into people we know. But what about the other six days of the week? Say you get a craving for fresh produce on Thursday?

Consider it a public service that we remind you of the Alabama Farmers Market at 344 Finley Ave. West. Open seven days a week, this market has it all — fresh produce, plants, even a flea market. Most of the vendors are open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Come fall, I find it to be the best place to get the perfect pumpkin … or pumpkins in my case. And if you’re hungry on the way in or out, Niki’s West is right there. The restaurant hasn’t been voted one of the best in town so many years in a row for nothing.

So sure, we’ll see you on Saturday at Pepper Place. But we’ll see you Thursday on Finley.
